Whisky was suffering from having a ‘old man’ image problem: To overcome this Brand New Music put on the first whisky and music festival aimed at 20 and 30 somethings. Nominated for best New Festival at the 2011 Festival Awards, The inaugural Pure Festival took place at The Garage, Highbury and Islington over the weekend of Sept 24/25/2011. Sold out on both days, Pure hosted 30 different Single Malts and Blends plus 16 amazing bands.
